The merged design project school

On 10th of November, the examiner of KIDP (Korea Institute of Design Promotion) and 2 more visited ID department to estimate of rearing project of the merged design school by KIDP and MKE (Ministry of Knowledge Economy). This project targets to cultivate expert man resource of design who qualified the ability of solving solutions by the merged design education system that considered with capability of design specialized men resources. IDKAIST and the project leader Lee Kun Pyo applied with the expectation of ‘the vision of world centered merger design education’. The first judgment was In August and IDKAIST was selected in 15 schools out of 30 applied and planned of the internal propelling scheme for 3months since then. This visiting was to give selection of top 5 schools to join this project. IDKAIST may be one of the best schools, but ID department with Prof. Lee Kun Pyo do not expect and consider with the word of ‘best’. What they always trying is how to do with their best of receiving opportunities and how to support students and pay back to the society and world.
