Among 3 finalists in Microsoft Young Professorship Award sponsored by KAIST-Microsoft Research Collaboration Center (KMCC) in this August, Professor Lim Yoon-kyung of KAIST ID was reportedly selected as Microsoft Young Professorship of MSRA(Microsoft Research Asia) in Beijing, China. During the 2 years’ period since the conclusion of KNCC, Professor Kim Dong-jun of the Dept. of Computer Science was selected as the first year Microsoft Young Professorship and Professor Lim Yoon-kyung of ID was selected as the 2nd year’s. The Award Ceremony and Press Interview is scheduled to take place on Oct. 20, in Korea, and upon this awarding opportunity they will develop a close collaboration activity with MSRA researchers during the winter vacation while staying at MSRA on a long-term basis.
