The research of Kyungah Choi and Prof. Hyeon-Jeong Suk (Color Lab) has appeared on the list of the 10 most downloaded articles in Optics Express in October 2016. Entitled “Dynamic lighting system for the learning environment: performance of elementary student,” the study was published in the journal Optics Express, a top-ranked Open Access journal in the optics field. This research has also been covered in the news by the Huffington Post, Yahoo Finance, Optics & Photonics News, YTN, and KAIST Breakthrough in April 2016. In the study, they investigated the effects of lighting color temperatures on elementary students’ performance, and thereby proposed a dynamic lighting system for a smart learning environment.
