Sujin Yu and Hayan Choi from the Department of Industrial Design won prizes from Student Innovation Contest, an event at the UIST 2012 conference, with joint efforts with students from the Department of Computer Science. UIST is the top conference in the HCI fields.
Teams from many top universities competed in the contest. Sujin Yu and 2 others created ¡®The Widget¡¯ which places simple structure to create a useful input widget and won the 2nd Place in Creativity. Hayan Choi and 3 others created ¡®Tteok-Pad¡¯, which utilized elastic material to provide haptic feedback in the horizontal direction, and won the 2nd Place for People¡¯s Choice.
