¡°ID+IM¡±, is an abbreviation for 'I design, Therefore I am' which is
from Rene Descartes¡¯ famous quote 'I think, therefore I am' and means our design directions of Innovative Design, Intuitive Design and Interactive Design as well.
Breaking from the research-based study, he is pursuing an innovative, intuitive and practical design for the real world.
For designing real-world products, we are focusing in the philanthropy design that reflects designer¡¯s social responsibility. Since 2006 we have been donating our design to ¡°Nanum¡±(Sharing in Korean) Project which is charity project for the WORLD VISION and donates the all the profits (about US$1.7M) for poor student¡¯s scholarship. We also research and apply the appropriate technology and culture for the 3rd world to develop new eco friendly an sustainability system. ID+IM has been participating many international awards and as the result of our efforts, we won many international design awards that include Best of Best Award, Gold and Silver Award at IDEA , Red Dot, IF, Japan Good Design, Taiwan International Design Competition and I.D magazine annual review.
We was also invited and participated many international design shows and exhibitions including: IDEA 2008-10, RED DOT2007-10, IF, JAPAN GOOD DESIGN2009-10, ICFF2000-2003, New York Gift Fair 2003, Core77 Design Gallery 2003, Tokyo Design Week 2006-10, Taiwan Design Center 2006, and Red Dot Museum 2007.
His works published and introduced many design related magazines and major newspapers.
