The world’s first ‘handheld' sound camera, designed by the I2DEA Lab (Prof. Seok-Hyung Bae) in collaboration with SM Instruments Co. Ltd. and Hyundai Motor Company, won the 2013 Red Dot Award for Product Design last February. Unlike previous large, heavy, and built-up-type models, this new product is small, light, and all-in-one, with its usability remarkably improved by enabling users to freely hold and carry it to explore noise sources in various environments. This product was released on market last November and has been receiving positive responses from renowned organizations such as Hyundai, Kia Motors, and the Namyang Institute.
