Professor Myung-Seok Kim won KAIST achievement award on 39th anniversary of the KAIST foundation. He has greatly contributed to the Industrial Design Department and its foundation since 1985. Regarding KAIST members` lack of cultural and artistic knowledge from Daeduk Science Town`s geometric isolation , he also proposed KAIST Friday`s Cultural Performance and ran the program in the beginning. KAIST Friday`s Cultural Performance program not only contributes to local society`s culture and arts but also establish KAIST as a center of culture and arts through more than 500 performances.
