On November 27th, professor Myung-Suk Kim's team(Representative Da-Woon Chung/junior student, Jihoon Kim/Ph.D, Boyeon Kim/Chechire Academy) has won Silver Prize(Mayor of Osaka Prize) at 17th International Design Competition(presented by the Minister of Economy) held at Osaka International Convention Centre. The main theme of the 2008 competition is 'Earth-Life: Clean Aqua, Clean Air, Clean Energy'. Professor Kim and his team have won the prize with design of [SONEA: Sonic Energy Absorbing System]. Gold prize was given to China, silver prizes were given to Japan and Korea, and bronze prizes were given to US and Germany. Especially, Da-Woon Chung and his team are the only team of undergraduate students who has won the prize. Also, Jihoon Kim has already won bronze prize last year, proving the high quality of education of id KAIST.
