Best Poster Award in ACM UIST 2015

KyoungHee Son, Seo Young Oh, Yongkwan Kim, Hayan Choi, Seok-Hyung Bae (I2DEA Lab) and Ganguk Hwang (Department of Mathematical Sciences) won the People’s Choice Best Poster Award (2nd place) at ACM UIST 2015, which was held in Charlotte, NC, U.S. from November 8 to 11. Their paper, “Color Sommelier: Interactive Color Recommendation System Based on Community-Generated Color Palettes,” presents a novel algorithm that enables users to choose harmonious colors on the fly and a coloring application that illustrates the usefulness of the algorithm. Their demo attracted great attention in the conference. They received a Google Tango Tablet Dev Kit as an additional prize.
