Prof. Patrick Olivier at Newcastle University, UK visited ID KAIST and gave us a lunch talk on June 26th. He talked about Digital Civics; Infrastructuring participatory citizenship. Digital Civics proposes the use of digital technologies in the provision of relational models of public services to support citizen-focused sharing of knowledge, experience and resources. After lunch talk, he visited several labs in our department. Patrick Olivier founded and leads Open Lab, Newcastle University's center for cross-disciplinary research in digital technologies.
